Port233 LTD (United Kingdom) provides the Port233 Network Check service at port233.com. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use this public service.

Information We Process

• Public IP and derived metadata (country, region, city, ISP/org, ASN, timezone).
• Speed test results (download, upload, latency, jitter) and run status.
• Technical event data for first-party analytics and service reliability.
• Ad interaction events such as ad impressions and ad clicks.
• Product and affiliate link interaction events, such as Toolkit CTA clicks.

Passwords and passphrases generated by the password generator are created locally in your browser and are not sent to Port233 servers, analytics endpoints, or advertising scripts.

How We Use Information

• Deliver network diagnostics and show your results.
• Maintain, secure, and improve the service.
• Measure usage and troubleshoot failures.
• Support contextual advertising on the public service.
• Understand whether Port233 product and external recommendation links are useful.

Advertising and Consent

We use Google AdSense in contextual mode. Where required by law, ad-related processing is controlled by consent signals and Google consent mechanisms before personalized advertising features would be used. Our intent for this service is contextual-only ad behavior.

In supported regions, we request your ad preference before loading ad scripts.

We do not load Google AdSense on the password generator page because generated passwords and passphrases are sensitive values.

You can also manage advertising and tracking preferences through your browser/device privacy controls.

Product and Affiliate Links

Port233 may link to Port233 products hosted on Gumroad and to relevant external services. Some external links may be affiliate links. Link click events may be measured through first-party analytics, but diagnostic tool results are not changed by product or affiliate relationships.

Legal Basis and Your Rights

Where applicable, we process data based on legitimate interests (service operation, security, and measurement), contractual necessity to provide requested diagnostics, and consent where required for ad technologies.
