Port233 LTD (United Kingdom) provides free business and network tools at port233.com. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use this public service.

Information We Process

Passwords and passphrases generated by the password generator are created locally in your browser and are not sent to Port233 servers, analytics endpoints, or advertising scripts.

Invoice Studio: Local Data

Invoice Studio at /tools/invoice-generator creates PDFs in your browser. Business details, logos, client details and line items are not uploaded to Port233. The app saves your setup and one current draft in browser local storage. Clear saved data removes those local app records. Browser settings can also remove them; downloaded PDFs and settings files must be deleted separately. Settings files include your business setup and payment defaults, but exclude client details and your current draft. These files and browser records are unencrypted.

The invoice document uses Umami to count one pageview per load, with only the website ID, hostname, fixed page path with only the marketing tags listed below, and fixed page title. It does not track editing, settings, downloads or support clicks, send document contents, or load advertising scripts. Hosting infrastructure still receives ordinary requests for the page and bundled assets. Browser local storage belongs to the www.port233.com origin, not an individual URL path; our other tools do not read the invoice storage. Avoid using shared browser profiles for confidential invoices.

Drafts from invoice.port233.com remain at that original address. Use the original app in the same browser to download the draft and export reusable settings before moving. No automatic cross-domain transfer takes place.

Optional support payments open Stripe checkout without invoice data in the link. Stripe processes payment information you enter there; Stripe and Port233 retain payment records separately from your local invoice and quote data. The invoice page explains support payments and refunds.

Quote Studio: Local Data

Quote Studio at /tools/quote-estimate-generator creates quote and estimate PDFs on your device. Business details, logos, client details and line items are not uploaded. It keeps one current proposal and reusable setup in a separate browser record from Invoice Studio. Quotes and estimates share that proposal record and numbering. Clear saved data affects the Quote Studio record only.

The quote document uses the same pageview-only Umami setup as Invoice Studio, with no editor action tracking, document contents, referrers or advertising scripts. Ordinary hosting requests still occur. Both tools use the www.port233.com origin; separate records are not separate security boundaries. Importing Invoice Studio settings requires confirmation, keeps quote numbering and excludes invoice banking details, clients and line items. It replaces the current quote draft. Settings exports and browser records are unencrypted; exported settings exclude clients and draft content. Keep downloaded files private and delete them separately. Drafts at invoice.port233.com do not transfer automatically.

How We Use Information

Website Analytics

We use Umami at analytics.port233.com to measure visits to public pages, including navigation between pages. Pageview data includes the page path and title, referring page, browser language and screen size. Requests also expose your network address to the analytics service. This integration does not set analytics cookies or assign a personal user ID, and it honours the browser's Do Not Track signal when available.

Tracked page URLs keep only these marketing query parameters: utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content and utm_term. Every other query parameter and all URL fragments are excluded. We remove all query parameters and fragments from referrers, omit dashboard and API routes, and remove document-editor and dashboard URLs from referrer data. Invoice Studio and Quote Studio send only the four pageview fields described above, with no referrer or custom events. We do not send form contents, generated passwords, invoice or quote records, or diagnostic results to Umami. Our existing first-party operational event analytics remains separate.

Advertising and Consent

Advertising is an optional feature of this service. When Google AdSense is enabled, Google and its advertising partners may place or read cookies, use web beacons, and process IP addresses or other identifiers to deliver and measure ads and prevent fraud. The processing depends on the ad configuration and applicable consent choices.

The site can request an ad preference before loading advertising scripts. A preference saved on this site is specific to this browser. For details of how Google handles data, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

We do not load Google AdSense on the password generator, invoice generator or quote and estimate generator pages.

You can also manage advertising and tracking preferences through your browser/device privacy controls.

Product and Affiliate Links

Port233 may link to Port233 products hosted on Gumroad and to relevant external services. Some external links may be affiliate links. Link click events may be measured through first-party analytics, but diagnostic tool results are not changed by product or affiliate relationships.

Legal Basis and Your Rights

Where applicable, we process data based on legitimate interests (service operation, security, and measurement), contractual necessity to provide requested diagnostics, and consent where required for ad technologies.

Data Sharing

IP metadata lookups send the public address to IPinfo or ip-api. Speed tests contact Cloudflare from your browser, exposing your network address to that service; its measurement engine also collects completed test results. Domain and email checks query public DNS and may contact the requested public host. We also use third-party hosting infrastructure and, when enabled, advertising providers. We do not sell personal information for independent third-party resale.

Data Retention and Security

We retain data only as long as reasonably necessary for service delivery, security, and operational records. We apply reasonable technical and organizational safeguards.

Children

The service is intended for users aged 13 and above.
